I’m here to help you have a better life. I want you to not just have more money, but to have the time and health to enjoy it. I believe that there’s no point in having more money if you’re always too busy or too ill to spend time with your friends and family or to engage in meaningful activities.
I’ve noticed all around me some habits and mentalities that are impeding people’s progress in their quest for more financial security and a more fulfilling life. Some of these problems are over-consumption and constantly wanting more, which can set us up to be stuck at jobs we hate. Some of it’s just bad and unhealthy habits. It becomes a cycle we can never seem to get out of.
I want to help you break that cycle. No matter what anyone else says or believes, no matter what big corporations are doing to pry more money out of our fingers, we can change how we live our lives. We don’t need the latest iPhone to feel complete. We don’t need a luxury car to feel like we’ve “made it.” Don’t get me wrong: I want you to be able to afford all of those things should you choose to buy them. But what I really want is for you to get to the point that you feel happiness as much as possible—and true happiness starts with a change in mindset.
I want this blog to be your definitive guide to having a career you love, plenty of money but also the time to spend with loved ones and to engage in activities that feed your body and soul. I believe that money does little good if you don’t take the time to be with friends and family. It also does no good if you are miserable in your career. Even though I want to show you how to have more money, in the same breath I want to show you that there is more to life than money alone.
So I hope you will join me each week for new blog posts on how to create wealth while enjoying your life. If you’re unhappy with your career, I encourage you to read my posts in the Career section. If you want to make money while you sleep, check out my posts on investing. If you’re looking for an easy way to “create” more money, check out my Spending and Saving section.
In the meantime, try enjoying what you have now. You are already richer than you think—you are reading this on a laptop or phone, you probably have a car, food on your plate and a warm place to sleep at night. You also have people who love you and this is what really matters. None of us have to wait until we’re “wealthy” to enjoy our lives. We can do it today just by realizing just how lucky we are to have what’s already in our lives:)
